31 days to go

We are now very much on the countdown to our big departure day...we are thrilled that everything is coming together and feel truly blessed that we have the opportunity to take our family on this adventure of a lifetime!

A few (possibly boring) details......

We are starting to pack up the house for storage and for loading up the van (with the few belongings that we will be able to take on the road)....

We are picking up our 'new' caravan (a 3 year old Jayco Expanda - Bunk model) next week. We will not bring it back to Port until a week later however as it will be off having an annex made and fitted. The kids are very excited about this aspect of the journey!! (one big cubby house).

Annabelle and Harrison will attend the Distance Education school (based here in Port) just after Easter for their 'interviews' and to meet their teachers. We are very impressed with the schooling on offer and Kate is quite excited about being involved so closely with the children's education for this period.

Tim has been very fortunate to have negotiated some work hours on the road with his existing job (via remote access). They have been very supportive of our plans and are flexible with how much Tim takes on.

Several big milestones.... Annabelle is in her last few weeks of Infants school (year 2) and Hannah in her last few weeks of pre-school (2 days per week). She will start school at Tacking Point P.S. with the "big kids" next year which she is very excited about. And gorgeous Georgie is about to turn one (the day before we leave). 'Adventure boy' continues to study the map, routes, animal books etc with great delight and anticipation!

We will deeply miss our dear family, beautiful friends and wonderful church family...but 8 short months will whizz by and then we will be home in Port again. We hope to stay in close contact and share our journey with those of you who are interested. We will have our mobiles and will have e-mail.
